Women Called To Praise, Int.
Women played great roles in the ministry of Jesus and today they are playing even greater roles in our church planting missions. That is why we have a special page for their ministry in Africa.
Dr. Doris McIntyre is a native of St. Louis Missouri. She accepted Christ in her early teens and received the indwelling of the Holy Ghost. At age 19 she received Evangelist license as the youngest Evangelist in South East Missouri and Western Illinois of the Churches of God in Christ. At age 20 she began operating under the Prophetic anointing. At age 23 she received her Masters in Education. At age 25 she received a Doctorate in Theology. In 1968 she was led to relocate from St. Louis to Los Angeles California where she joined Emanuel Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Bishop Samuel Crouch, Bishop of the Southern California Diocese and Mother L.O Hale, State Supervisor of the Women’s Department. Dr. McIntyre became a state Evangelist in 1969. She taught 3rd grade at Trinity Street Elementary School in Los Angeles. In 1970 she returned to school to began studies in Psychology. Dr McIntyre received her Doctorate in Psychology/Christian Counseling, and an Honorary Doctorate from Calvary Grace. In 1976 she formed a singing group, Doris Woods and the Voices of Joy and in 1977 their first Album was cut. In 1991 she was ordained Pastoral Administrator of World Reach Pentecostal Ministries. In 1996 She was Ordained as an Elder of En Agape Christian Fellowship in Rancho Cucamonga, California, by Dr. Harold Dewberry. In 2000, after witnessing so many wounded women, she organized “Women Called to Praise International Ministries,” where the focus is centered on inner healing.
In 1978 Dr McIntyre met and married her husband, Bishop O.J. McIntyre. They adopted a son, Victor McIntyre. They established a Christian Elementary and High School in 1982 where many youth, the system thought were hopeless, received high school diplomas with a 4.0 grade point average. The youth gave their hearts to the Lord. Those that dropped out of public schools met with Dr. McIntyre and through her encouragements returned to the Christian high school and graduated with honors. All credit and glory is given to the Lord.
